Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of energy system components, packaging, and structural elements for existing and future products. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaboration with engineering teams to design and test product packaging, components, and structural elements based on system performance, functional, and certification requirements.
  • Conducting “hands-on” testing and tolerance analysis (using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Principals).
  • Designing system enclosures to meet functional, certification and cost requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline with at least 2-5 years of related engineering work experience is required.
  • Must have working knowledge of the following design tools: CAD (Pro Engineer), FEA, and CFD.
  • Knowledge of Pro Mechanica and ANSYS is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Vibration, Thermal, and Fatigue design.
  • PED, ASME, UL/CSA, and European codes and standards that apply to lift truck product design is preferred.

Mechanical Designer

Location: Albany, NY

Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to design, test, and troubleshoot energy system components and packaging. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design energy system components to meet functional, certification, and cost requirements. All technical design drawings will need to meet geometric dimensioning and tolerance specifications.
  • Perform component design calculations, testing, and analysis to ensure all specifications/requirements are met.
  • Improve existing system designs through design failure identification and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical field with at least 3 years of related work experience is required.

Control Engineer

Location: Albany, NY

Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Control Engineer to become part of their Engineering team. The Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, coding and testing control algorithms. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Optimizing system technology and field service.
  • Use C and Matlab Stateflow to design and code control algorithms for a microprocessor based system.
  • Testing control algorithms in both lab and field environments. Analysis of testing data and troubleshooting / making changes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with necessary teams to complete optimization changes. Maintain control change documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Must have experience writing C and/or C++ code for microprocessors and implementing basic control algorithms.
  • Must have strength using Matlab and Simulink, Labview proficiency is a plus.
  • Proven track record of creative thinking and problem solving in regards to system design and performance.
  • Must be extremely organized and attentive to detail.

Our client is currently seeking for an Energy Systems Specialist to join their team. The systems specialist will be responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of energy systems. This is a full-time, permanent role. Travel will be required for this position, often on short notice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up customer installations. Assembly and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
  • Maintaining the efficient operation of utility infrastructures through the understanding of electrical schematics, piping, equipment and material specs, environmental impact on equipment functionality, and mechanical drawings.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting system problems.
  • Energy system design (for optimal performance).
  • Maintaining a high quality customer service focus throughout all communications with customers and vendors.
  • Developing new fabrication techniques.
  • Development of the preventative maintenance program for system field equipment.
  • Maximizing the performance of systems through the design and implementation of equipment enhancements.
  • Ensuring all parties necessary are properly informed regarding the safe operation of systems infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field of study is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice. (80% +).
  • Energy systems experience is a must have.
  • Must be able to work well on a team and have the ability to effectively communicate with other teams and divisions.

Operations Manager

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking an Operations Manager in their Poughkeepsie facility. This Operations Manager is a full-time, permanent role. Their primary responsibility is the successful coordination of internal divisions which ensure project completion is accurate, timely, and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining division operations including: sales/salary ratio, operational income statements, and budget. Maintaining a personal sales-to-salary ratio.
  • Oversee employee time sheets and sales reporting.
  • Monitor operations performance and safety standards to minimize risk and liability.
  • Regular communication with Executive Management and Divisional Management with matters concerning those divisions.
  • Management of Division to ensure compliance with SOP, safety, and regulations.
  • Interviewing employment candidates, coordination with HR, and following company policy and procedure regarding potential employment candidates.
  • Maximization of staff and equipment efficiency through active coordination between internal divisions.
  • Preparation and implementation of Marketing Plan. Actively take necessary action to ensure the success of the marketing plan.
  • Preparation of 1-year and 5-year Division budget plans. Submittal of plans to the Controller for approval.
  • Manage Division finance to ensure budget plans are achieved.
  • Ensure technical ability and competency of Division staff regarding all services provided. Review staff regularly, initiate training when necessary.
  • Work cooperatively with HR to provide annual employee reviews.
  • Staying up-to-date and familiar with all division products, services, clientele, and 3rd parties involved.

Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering, environmental studies, or business is required. MS is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of work and education (combined) experience is required.
  • A licensure of I.E. (Intern Engineer) is required. P.E. (Professional Engineer) is preferred.
  • NICET certification is required.
  • Must have management work experience.
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
