Referral Intake Legal Assistant

Location: Albany, NY

Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Referral Intake Legal Assistant to support the legal assistants and file attorneys. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gather, enter, and process new referrals from clients, update referral information in Time Matters as necessary.
  • Order Title Searches, follow up with clients and title companies, and request missing documents as needed.
  • Draft and send out notices on files. This will include debt validation, Fannie/Freddie, Demand, and 90 day notice letters.
  • Run checks against borrowers and defenders.
  • Monitor BANKO system for borrower bankruptcy.
  • Update systems as necessary; Time Matters, LPS, Redbooth, and Quandis.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or its equivalent is required for the position.
  • Prior experience working in an office is required.
  • Must be proficient using a computer.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates need to be detail oriented with strong problem solving skills.

Conference Legal Assistant

Location: Albany, NY

Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Conference Legal Assistant. The Conference Legal Assistant will report to the Settlement Conference / Loan Workout team lead and will support the Legal Assistants and file attorney as needed. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • The preparation and submittal of Special Request for Judicial Intervention documents to the court.
  • Set up Settlement and Status conferences throughout NYS. Follow up with the courts on settlement conference dates.
  • Prepare files and receive notices for the settlement conferences, update clients and appearing attorneys as needed.
  • Run daily reports in Time Matters ensuring appearance coverage and that files are prepared for conferences.
  • Update Time Matters, LPS, Redbooth, and Quandis as necessary.
  • Perform additional administrative and clerical duties and needed.

Our client is currently seeking a Legal Secretary/Paralegal specializing in Matrimonial and Family law. The Paralegal will be responsible for administrative and clerical duties assisting a partner and associate in their day-to-day operations. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Our client is currently seeking a Collections Legal Assistant – Team Lead. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Albany.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and set up claims (including determining claim amount, creditors, term of delinquency, subject of claim, etc.)
  • Primary responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining all collections files.
  • Review and analyze notices, invoices, etc.
  • Managing collections department.

Qualifications:

  • Degree and/or certification in legal research/writing, paralegal, or related area.
  • Strong writing ability is important as there is a great deal of drafting and correspondence work.
  • At least 3 years of related experience (collections background/experience a must).
  • 1-2 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
