Our client is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to design and implement IT solutions for clients. This is a full-time, permanent position located in the Albany, NY area.

Responsibilities Include:

  • The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for both remote and on-site administration and support for the following: end user and desktop pc problems, Windows server environments, and hosted solutions.
  • They will need to utilize the company’s proprietary remote monitoring and management in addition to professional services automation to provide support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a systems engineer. Experience providing support for Windows server and desktop OS is a must have.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCSE) is preferred.
  • Experience working with the following is required: Active Directory, AntiVirus products, Maleware removal, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Backup and recovery, DFS, Group Policy, Hyper-V, MS Exchange, Terminal Services, VPN, and (Android, iPhone, Windows) smartphones.
  • Cisco Networking (CCNA), Kixtart or VBScript, SonicWALL firewalls, and (android, iPhone, Surface) Tablet experience is desired.

ForeScout Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced ForeScout Engineer to join their division. The ForeScout Engineer will be primarily responsible for the management and support of their ForeScout Services related to Network and Endpoint Security. The ForeScout Engineer position is a work from home, remote position, with about 50% national travel.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing the necessary leadership and support for project execution.
  • Communication with clientele to better understand their business and technical needs.
  • Presenting existing clients with new business opportunities based on their needs and requirements.
  • Provide support for implementation and training for various international sales communities.
  • Provide assistance and support for international sales calls, RPF responses, pricing/scoping, etc.
  • Assist domestic and international leadership and sales leadership with service knowledge to gather information for potential future service needs.
  • Create roadmap proposals for clients and potential clients to help garner future sales/enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • ForeScout Engineer Certification is required.
  • Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of work experience as a senior network engineer. Security and/or pre-sales is desired.
  • Must be able to evaluate example network infrastructures and how they would work with security products.
  • Must have experience designing large enterprise network solutions.
  • Ability to respond to RFIs/RFPs
  • Familiarity and experience working with endpoints and network security protocols is a must have.

Senior Electronic Data Interchange Tester (Reports)

Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Electronic Data Interchange Tester for a long term contract position in the Albany, NY area. The EDI Tester will be responsible for the quality assurance testing of the client’s proprietary EDI software.

Responsibilities Include:

  • The creation of EDI transactions and data for use in test cases.
  • EDI test environment set up.
  • Performance of EDI testing, analysis, and EDI error resolution.
  • EDI transaction analysis and trouble shooting of EDI testing issues.
  • Maintenance of internal EDI database.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 7 years of intensive work experience in the computer field. 3 of which must have been in performing software testing for highly complex software applications and systems.
  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited University.
  • Must have QA/Testing experience using various methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) expertise.
  • Must have experience working in highly complex and large web-based application testing that is built on JAVA, Web-Sphere (presentation layer), DB2 LUW (backend database), middleware (web-services, API calls testing using SOAP UI), backend batch jobs and interfaces.
  • Experience writing SQL using joins for validations from multiple sources using DB2 LUW.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Need to have working experience with healthcare insurance or .gov domain testing EDI (835, 837, and 834) transactions.
  • Proven reports testing experience on an Oracle Database.
  • Experience with EDI Enrollment and Claims transactions and EDI data movement.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have extensive testing knowledge (techniques for verification and validation).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Functional knowledge of Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert, and Rational Requirement Composer.
  • Working-level experience within DB2 Mainframe Environments.
  • Late evening and weekend work is to be expected.
