Engagement Director of Technology

Our client is currently seeking an Engagement Director of Technology. This is a direct hire position, and is located in Albany, New York. The Engagement Director will be responsible for overall success, profitability, staffing, management and delivery of a large scale engagement.  As the point person, the s/he will drive the client implementation, manage client satisfaction and maintain project scope while overseeing multiple, mid-size projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directly managing a team of Project Managers; providing guidance on best practices
  • Providing significant value to the client and maintaining high client satisfaction
  • Managing the coordination of project team members and partners in a complex, multi-vendor environment
  • Taking a proactive approach to anticipating, preventing and solving problems through communication

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years of professional services consulting including experience managing large scale client engagements
  • A demonstrated record of success in implementing enterprise-level software preferably with a Big 4 consulting firm, leading systems integrator, the professional services practice of a leading software firm, or a comparable organization
  • Experience managing large scale client engagements with multiple partners and a demonstrated track record of consensus building, decision making and successful deployments
  • Knowledge of how state and local governments manage operations, conduct regulatory functions, transact, and manage technology to serve their constituencies and support their workforce
  • PMP Certification or in process preferred
  • Exhibit strong drive for results and success; convey a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations; persist despite obstacles, setbacks and competing influences
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key business partners by building personal credibility and solid trust

Chief Executive Officer

Our client is currently seeking a Chief Executive Officer in the not for profit industry. This position is located in the Saratoga area.

The CEO will oversee and manage organization programs and projects. S/he will also be in charge of recommending a budget to the board annually and ensuring the staff adheres to the approved budget.  Additional responsibilities include ensuring and maintaining a positive image of the organization, as well as maintaining a strong, positive reputation with stakeholders. Management of fundraising (planning, strategies, and implementation) is also required.

Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation, Public Administration, or Human Services plus a minimum of 10 years of administrative experience in the Human Services field.

Vice President – Software Development

Our client is currently seeking a Vice President of Software Development. This is a direct hire position, located in Albany, New York. The VP of Software Development will be responsible for managing the software development, quality assurance and technical operations teams, while working with Company product management team to develop world class products, engaging with customers, and partnering with the leadership team on overall business success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading software development, technical operations and software quality assurance functions to own and drive successful delivery of all products while contributing to the product strategy and the overall product roadmap
  • Recruiting a world class engineering, operations and quality assurance team and utilizing external resources to drive initiatives and product high quality products
  • Setting the technical direction for the team, driving the evolution of the systems architecture, and making appropriate technology choices
  • Taking a hands-on approach to the entire software development life-cycle: developing project and resource plans / schedules; performing day-to-day project management to ensure successful, on-time releases; assisting the team in accomplishing all tasks; demonstrating ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery process
  • Working effectively with product managers, project managers, engineers, and the senior management team to allocate engineering resources appropriately across various projects, juggling current customer/prospect needs with longer term product roadmap needs (weighing, balancing, & communicating the tradeoffs as necessary)
  • Implementing processes and metrics to insure that the engineering organization is extremely efficient and focused, and that the product is market ready
  • Functioning as an executive sponsor to Company major customers / partners, and mobilizing the team to effectively resolve and deal with major customer issues

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of software engineering management experience and 7+ years of software development experience building and scaling web applications to tens of millions of users globally
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design, development, delivery, support and maintenance of a large scale, high performing, technically complex, reliable and robust online application
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully hiring, motivating, retaining and effectively deploying talented software developers and consultants to perform against aggressive delivery goals
  • Experience with a variety of software development processes, and ability to apply the right process for the project. At least two years of participation in Agile development
  • Knowledge of release management and deployment workflow processes, from development release through staging and production deployment
  • Ability to evangelize and sell stakeholders across the company on key engineering priorities and how they connect with larger company initiatives
  • Significant experience contributing to a senior management team. This assumes participation in strategic and business planning, product strategy, operations, sales, marketing, and overall business direction
  • Experience making major investment decisions for third party tools or technologies, build vs. buy, and fund or not fund decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships and motivate team members. Must have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Mid-stage start-up management experience a huge plus
  • Background and in-depth knowledge of search and social media technologies a plus.

Our client, a large, local organization,  is currently seeking a Chief Information Officer.  This position requires extensive experience in business and technology leadership and planning. It is located in the Albany area.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic planning, aiding in the design and implementation of new technologies, overseeing tech systems and ensuring processes and practices relating to IT/Technology of an organization are effectively in place.  Extensive knowledge of network design and operation and expertise in operating systems such as Unix, Linux and Windows is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field; Master’s Degree in related field is preferred.

CFO

Our client is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer with a background in long-term care settings and expertise in the long-term care industry (medicare/medicaid) in the Albany area.

As CFO, the individual will be responsible for collaborating with CEO on company strategies and operations, overseeing all aspects of the Financial dept. including accounting and  staff supervision.
The CFO will develop and maintain the budget, financial policies and procedures, and ensure the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reports.

A minimum Bachelor’s Degree with CPA is required, Master’s Degree is preferred. Additional qualifications include at least five years of experience as a CFO, plus experience holding a senior financial management role.
