Description:
Are you looking to work on a smaller team for a family-owned business that has served clients in the Capital Region for over 30 years? This opportunity may be a good fit for you! Our client is currently seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
Responsibilities Include:
• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attends pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepares estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work.
• Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
• Travel to project sites.
• Participates in bid review meetings with owner or owner’s representatives.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in the construction field.
• Ability to understand the project schedule, including determining the sequencing of work.
• Advanced math and computer skills are required and prior experience with managing budgets is preferred.
• Ability to interpret computer data and systems.
• Ability to estimate techniques and cost control.
