The Times Union Job Fair will be held next Monday, January 16th, 2012 at the Albany Marriot on Wolf Road. Stephanie will be representing Walrath Recruiting at the fair, and will be meeting candidates and collecting resumes from 10am-4pm. All job seekers are encouraged to stop by and learn more about Walrath Recruiting, as well as submit their resume for current job openings.

Helpful tips that lead to success at a job fair:
Have plenty of neat, clean copies of your resume on hand to provide to recruiters
Dress to impress - neat hair, nails, clothing
Be organized - bring along a folder or tote to keep all of your documents in order
Be prepared - have an idea of what you’re looking for (Full-time, Part-time, field, etc.)
Be confident - it shows, and we like it!
Be patient - sometimes, Job Fairs can get a little hectic. Take a deep breath and try to maximize your time at the event. If a company that interests you seems to have an overly crowded booth with several applicants, take a step back and check out all of the other great companies that are present while you wait for the line to shorten - networking is a key ingredient to a successful job search.
