Location: Phoenix, AZ
Our client is currently seeking a Claiming Specialist. The Claiming Specialist will be responsible for providing excellent service to state departments and school districts in the subject of federal Medicaid. This is a full-time, long-term contract position that is Monday-Friday from 7-4 or 8-5.
- Create, submit, and void health claims to state Medicaid agencies.
- Carry out eligibility checks for Medicaid providers.
- Maintain data for claim submissions on remittance advices.
- Examine claims and payment information.
- Finalize Medicaid enrollment applications.
- Develop reports and send to internal staff and stakeholders.
- Record all processes and procedures within the policy manuals.
- Perform quality assurance software testing on proprietary systems.
- 1+ year(s) of experience is required.
- Healthcare claims experience is a plus.
- K-12 school district knowledge is a plus.
- Superiority in attention to detail and structured work ethic.
- Must be analytical when problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access is required.
- Deep technological understanding and ability to adopt new technologies is needed.
