Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Director of Billing & Collections to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Direct and manage the full revenue cycle process including admissions financial clearance, billing, coding, collections, cash posting, and denial management.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay claims.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in accounts receivable (AR), cash collections, and denial rates.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve revenue cycle efficiency and reduce claim denials.
• Supervise and train revenue cycle and billing staff to ensure high performance and compliance.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Stay up-to-date on industry changes in reimbursement, regulations, and best practices specific to long-term care.
• Manage vendor relationships related to billing, collections, and financial systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial payer billing processes.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive performance improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting nursing home billing and reimbursement.
