Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Director of Health Information Management to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide leadership and oversight to coding staff, associates, and managers to ensure timely and accurate coding that supports reimbursement and clinical care.
• Develop and enforce compliance policies for the confidentiality, security, and release of health information, aligning with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Analyze health data and trends to drive quality improvement and optimize healthcare operations.
• Lead strategic initiatives including quality improvement, policy development, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance HIM functions and efficiency.
• Oversee departmental operations, including budget management, productivity targets, and active participation in key committees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• One or both: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• One or more: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role required
