Our client is seeking a highly motivated legal assistant with 3 or more years of experience to join their Trust & Estates department. The candidate will provide support to two or more attorneys in our Trust & Estates department and will be asked to perform a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.
Maintain electronic and physical client files
Review and manage attorney calendars
Format and proofreading documents, as well as the final preparation of documents for filing (e.g., tables of contents and tables of authorities) and service
Electronically file pleadings in both state and federal courts
Manage all stages of the discovery process
Review mail, and schedule/coordinate a variety of appointments and client meetings.
3+ years of experience working in a law office if required
Previous experience in the area of Trust & Estates
The ability to work independently on multiple tasks under set deadlines in addition to the ability to work collaboratively with other staff and attorneys throughout the office
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be able to maintain confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to meet deadlines necessary.
