Our client is seeking a highly motivated legal assistant with 3 or more years of experience to join their Trust & Estates department. The candidate will provide support to two or more attorneys in our Trust & Estates department and will be asked to perform a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain electronic and physical client files
  • Review and manage attorney calendars
  • Format and proofreading documents, as well as the final preparation of documents for filing (e.g., tables of contents and tables of authorities) and service
  • Electronically file pleadings in both state and federal courts
  • Manage all stages of the discovery process
  • Review mail, and schedule/coordinate a variety of appointments and client meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a law office if required
  • Previous experience in the area of Trust & Estates
  • The ability to work independently on multiple tasks under set deadlines in addition to the ability to work collaboratively with other staff and attorneys throughout the office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines necessary.
