Description:
Our client is currently seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential properties following specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute installation procedures accurately.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and piping using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Install electrical wiring and control systems for HVAC units, ensuring proper connections and system functionality.
  • Test HVAC systems to verify efficient operation and compliance with performance standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and contractors to coordinate project schedules and ensure timely completion.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing homeowner questions and concerns, ensuring satisfaction with installed systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and service reports.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing HVAC systems in residential environments
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or HVAC apprenticeship preferred
  • EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling is required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics accurately
  • Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with local and national building codes, safety regulations, and HVAC installation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor when interacting with clients and coworkers

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy tools, equipment, and materials
  • Capable of working in confined spaces, on ladders, and at elevated heights (e.g., rooftops)
  • Ability to endure various working conditions, including heat, cold, and tight crawlspaces
