Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversight of project plans, bid documents, and specifications.
• Development of accurate cost estimates.
• Oversight of pre-construction activities.
• Solicitation, analyzation, and comparison of bids to ensure competitive pricing.
• Oversee preparation of budgets, estimates, and proposals.
• Assess conditions, risks, and feasibility of projects via site visits.
• Work in conjunction with a team to keep record of value engineering, scope changes, and cost implications.
• Secure projects by way of bid submissions, presentations, and negotiations.
• Ensure smooth project handover.
• Entry of estimates, bids, and project documentation into the company estimating software.
• Maintenance of estimation accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Proficient with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with risk identification and value engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to oversee multiple bids and ensure deadlines are met.
• Strong understanding of construction standards, safety, and codes.
