Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Construction Inspector to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the alignment of work completed with the approved specifications and building codes.
• Review and approval of all the materials utilized in the construction process.
• Draft and maintain thorough documentation of the project’s progress throughout its lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements.
• Identification and reporting of compliance violations.
• Review of contracts, project specifications, and project drawings.
• Act as a point of contact for contractors, subcontractors, and relevant agencies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience inspecting bridges and/or highways.
• Must have recent experience with Thruway projects and/ or NYSDOT.
• Required that a candidate is a NICET certified at Level II, III, IV, or a registered PE.
• Must be proficient with Site Manager.
• Must have an active NYS driver’s license.
• Work Zone Traffic Control training is preferred.
• Preferred a candidate has one or more of the following certifications: AMPP, ATSSA, NETTCP, and ACI certification.
