Description:

Our client is currently seeking a ­­­­Mechanical Drafter to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare accurate shop drawings for commercial and industrial HVAC ductwork and/or mechanical piping systems.
• Develop layout, fabrication, spool, and installation drawings from contract documents and field conditions.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades.
• Identify and resolve drawing conflicts and constructability issues.
• Incorporate field measurements, RFIs, and project revisions into drawing packages.
• Maintain accurate drawing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field supervisors, and fabrication teams to support successful project execution.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience in drafting, mechanical design, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience preparing HVAC ductwork and/or mechanical piping shop drawings preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or similar mechanical detailing software.
• Working knowledge of HVAC ductwork, mechanical piping systems, fittings, equipment connections, supports, elevations, and construction standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
