Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Medical Coder/Billing Specialist to join their team. The specialist will be responsible for reviewing and importing payments for accuracy. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research all information necessary to complete procedure and diagnosis (CPT and ICD 10) coding process for all services rendered including obtaining necessary information from physicians/facilities.
• Serve as a resource to billing staff with coding concerns or associated problems.
• Monitor outstanding documentation requests to ensure proper follow-up with clinical staff for accurate documentation.
• Perform insurance follow-up including contacting insurance companies and patients, appealing underpaid, denied, or overpaid claims with insurance companies

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with medical billing.
• Must have CPC or be willing to study for Certified Professional Coder.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

• M -F 8:00 am-4:30 pm, 100% in office
