Description:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their Heavy Civil Construction team in Albany, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing heavy civil construction projects, including roads, bridges, and infrastructure.
• Support field/site visits to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
• Help prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Learn and adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements on construction sites.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, technical documentation, and project proposals.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in construction or engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of construction management software is a plus.
