Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Accounts Payable clerk to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term contract position.

Responsibilities Include:
• Review and process invoices to ensure compliance with contract/program terms and documentation requirements.
• Verify that costs billed align with budgeted amounts and available funds for contracts or task work orders.
• Ensure invoices are paid in accordance with the company’s prompt payment policies.
• Create and maintain vendor records in the organization’s information system.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries via email and telephone regarding payment issues or discrepancies.
• Identify, research, and document any irregularities or discrepancies in billing.
• Support audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or a combination of education and experience in accounting, finance, or business.
• Proven accounts payable experience is required.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Hours:
• M -F 8-5
• In-Person
