Description:

Our client is currently seeking a clinical Addictions Counselor to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Addictions Counselor will provide clinical counseling and support to individuals receiving addiction services. This role will be responsible for conducting intakes and assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and coordinating care to support each client’s treatment goals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide individual and group counseling to clients receiving addiction services.
• Conduct client intakes, assessments, and diagnostic impressions.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Provide case management and coordinate services with other providers and community resources.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients to support recovery and treatment goals.
• Monitor client progress and adjust services as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, reporting, and records.
• Collaborate with clients and care team members to support continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Active NYS credential as an LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or other qualified professional.
• Previous experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders (SUD) or addiction preferred.
• Experience working in an OASAS-licensed or certified facility preferred.
• CASAC credential or CASAC eligibility preferred.
• Experience with clinical counseling, case management, treatment planning, and care coordination.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary care teams.
