Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Medical Coder to join their team. This role is responsible for accurate and compliant coding of services and supporting insurance follow-up efforts related to coding outcomes. The position focuses on documentation review, coding, and claim resolution activities. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Research all information necessary to complete procedure and diagnosis (CPT and ICD 10) coding process for all services rendered, including obtaining necessary information from physicians/facilities.
• Serve as a resource to billing staff with coding concerns or associated problems.
• Monitor outstanding documentation requests to ensure proper follow-up with clinical staff for accurate documentation.
• Perform insurance follow-up, including contacting insurance companies and patients, appealing underpaid, denied, or overpaid claims with insurance companies

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
• Prior experience with medical billing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
