Description:

Our client is currently seeking an Outpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric follow-up.
• Treat clients with mental health and substance use disorders across the lifespan.
• Collaborate with therapists, medical providers, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with agency and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, quality improvement, and clinical education.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license and PMHNP certification required.
• ANCC Board Certification as a PMHNP required.
• Current DEA registration with prescriptive authority in New York State required.
• 3+ years of psychiatric practice experience, preferably in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
• Experience treating mental health and substance use disorders.
• Medicare and Medicaid credentialing, preferred.
• Strong skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychopharmacology.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with EHR and clinical documentation systems.
