Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term contract position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop test plans and write detailed test cases based on project requirements.
• Perform manual testing of applications.
• Identify and document bugs in the team’s defect tracking system (Jira).
• Validate fixes by retesting identified bugs.
• Design and execute manual and automated test plans for new features and releases.
• Build and maintain a regression test suite to catch issues before they reach production.
• Perform exploratory testing to catch edge cases that automated tests may miss.
• Partner with engineers early in the development process to define acceptance criteria and testable requirements.
• Track, prioritize, and report on defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Establish QA metrics (defect escape rate, test coverage, time-to-detect) to measure quality improvements over time.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in New York State.
• 3+ years of experience using Jira for test management and/or bug tracking.
• 5+ years of experience performing unit, integration, UAT, regression, and system testing.
• 2+ years of experience performing QA testing on Agile projects.
• 5+ years of experience writing test scripts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document issues accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders.

Hours:

• Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm
• Hybrid
