Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Municipal Banking Officer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage and grow relationships with municipalities, school districts, fire districts, and other public-sector organizations.
• Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
• Recommend banking solutions, including deposit accounts, treasury management, and lending services.
• Coordinate account onboarding, service implementation, and municipal loan opportunities with internal teams.
• Manage municipal proposals, pricing, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Monitor relationship profitability and ensure compliance with banking policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial banking, municipal banking, treasury management, government finance, or municipal administration.
• Strong relationship management, business development, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of deposit products, cash management, and relationship pricing.
• Ability to travel throughout the market and attend community events as needed.
• Existing municipal relationships and experience with New York public deposits preferred.
