Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Controller to join their team and quickly become the CFO. This is a full-time, permanent position and open due to retirement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA in NYS preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in construction strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to ethical standards, accuracy, and transparency in financial management.
