Description:

Our client is currently seeking a ­­­­Controller/CFO to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting departments, including but not limited to budgeting, reporting, ongoing revenue, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with the CEO on important events, ensuring proper protocol is followed.
• Ensures all financial operations comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including compliance with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Supervises the company’s risk management and risk mitigation.
• Completes oversight and quality review of annual audits, cost reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Builds and maintains relationships with various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in finance with several years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working for a not-for-profit preferred.
• Must be very well-organized with attention to detail, and the ability to multitask is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
